I was thinking about the poet, Marcel Proust who said: "The true act of discovery is not to find new land, but to see it with new eyes". It's interesting. And I wonder sometimes how often people see their own business with new eyes?
Sometimes with a little bit of help you can see something new that then cannot stop seeing. Like my friend, Connie, who went up in the middle of Sweden trying to buy a summer house. And when he finally went through the forest and he came up to the house, the owner came and told him, have you seen all the bird houses I have here? My friend couldn't understand what he meant, but the guy showed him that on every tree, on every building there was a man-made bird house, Connie couldn't buy that house. He left, but on the way to the house, he only saw a forest, but on the way from the house, after some training, what to look for and where to look for it, he saw only birdhouses. And couldn't stop seeing them.
Sometimes, you know your business so well that you don't see everything inside, but with a little bit of training, what to look for and where to look for it, you can actually discover some new land in your own business. I suggest you take a chance and ask somebody to help you with that. Good luck on the journey.
